Nancy Goldsworthy, Portland, OR

Thirty years of apparel production experience has given Nancy access to many aspect of the sewing machine industry that are not available to the average machine quilter. She started as the lowest sewer on the production line and worked her way up to production engineer. Her last 7 ½ years in the corporate world (she now quilts and teaches full time) were with a major NW apparel company. Fabric development and production engineering were her focus. A key piece of her job was to seek out the new technologies and bring them to factories. In the 3 years she has been machine quilting, Nancy has researched the currently available needles and threads and knows how to put them together for the best results. She will show you how to get those beautiful new threads off the shelf and on to your quilts.
